Q: What are the benefits of hiring Catalyst Organizing Solutions?

A: We will assess which areas of your life or business are challenging to you. We will then provide ideas, information, structure, solutions, and systems. These solutions will help you see your life differently, change old habits, understand why you are disorganized, increase your productivity, lessen stress, and improve your self-image.

Q: Can disorganized people really change?

A: Just like musical talent, artistic ability, or athletic ability, organizing is a talent which some people have a natural affinity for and others have to learn. Over time, by working with an expert, it is possible for disorganized people to learn and apply the principles of organization to create different results.

Q: Is organizing about throwing things away?

A: Yes and no. Throwing things away is indeed part of the organizing process, however, it's more complicated than that. The goal is to teach the client how to determine which items have present and future value and which do not, and how to separate emotion from physical objects.

Q: Do you actually do the work or will you just come and tell me how to do it?

A: Both. The role of an organizer is to be a consultant. It is our job to help you solve your organizing challenges by identifying their causes, giving and implementing solutions that you can maintain long term. We also help you learn to make decisions which will simplify your life.

Some clients want hands-on help with the process, sorting, categorizing, and setting up systems. Other clients are self-motivated but need an expert to create a game plan that they can implement on their own. Our goal is to teach you to organize your life and make better choices, not to make you dependent on us.

Q: Will my sessions be confidential?

A: We are aware that our clients place a high level of trust in us. As members of The National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), we abide by a Code of Ethics to ensure that all client information remains confidential.

Q: How much does getting organized cost? Is it expensive?

A: Think of this... what does being disorganized cost you? Remember that "expensive" doesn't just mean that something costs a lot of money... It can also mean that it costs time, energy, happiness, fulfillment, self-image and productivity. How expensive is your chaos? How many times have you bought items you KNEW you already had but couldn't find? How many times have you been embarrassed by being late, missing a meeting, or double-booking yourself? How can you put a price on effective living? Our services are designed to add value to your life. Think of them as an investment in your happiness.

As for actual rates, several factors apply, and we offer a number of different services. It's best for us to have a phone conversation about your needs and the scope of your project and then we can have a better idea of what you'll be investing in both time and money.

Right now, disorganization and chaos is costing you money, time, peace of mind, productivity, quality of life, success and your self-image... and it will continue to do so until you take steps to change it. So the real question becomes, "What will NOT getting organized continue to cost you?"

Q: How long does the organizing process take?

A: The length of time will depend on a number of factors. Some of these factors include your goals, your level of motivation, the scope of the project, the complexity of the project and how quickly decisions can be made and solutions implemented.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: You are welcome to pay for your services with cash, money order, personal or business check, or a major credit card.
